Drum and bass mastering with a solid sub and breaks that still snap.
At 170-plus BPM the limiter has almost no time between hits. A drum and bass master has to be loud, keep the snare cracking and hold the sub steady. ZERRRO Engine masters it with a DnB reference profile and lets you hear every change.

The engine’s default for Drum & Bass. Jump Up can go louder, Liquid sounds better around -9.
Fast breaks leave the limiter little room. Its release decides whether the sub pumps between snares.
At club loudness the limiter stops at 0 dBTP, so nothing overshoots. Streaming masters stop at −1 dBTP.
What a drum and bass master has to hold together
Drum and bass is two tracks at once: fast, bright breaks on top and a slow, heavy sub underneath. The master has to make both louder without one eating the other.
A sub that stays steady
The sub is where the energy is and where limiting shows first. A good master keeps it level instead of letting it duck with every snare.
Snares that crack
The snare cuts through the mix at 2 to 5 kHz. It needs to stay sharp while the level goes up, not turn brittle.
Reese and mid-bass with edge
Mid-bass carries the character on club systems. It needs grit without masking the breaks.
Hear it. Shape it. Then decide.

Upload & check
Bit depth, sample rate, true peak, clipping and loudness of your premaster are measured in seconds. If the file is already limited or clipping, you find out before anything is processed.

Pick Bass & Breaks → Drum & Bass
The engine uses a reference profile built from released drum and bass and adapts it to your mix. Dubstep, UK Garage and Breaks are separate profiles in the same group.

Shape it while it plays
Choose a punchy or aggressive character, drag the EQ dots, or type “steadier sub, crispier snare”. Auto sets the loudness for DnB.

Questions producers ask
How loud should a drum and bass master be?
Around −7.5 LUFS integrated is typical for club DnB and what the engine’s Auto setting picks. Liquid often sounds better around −9. The limiter ceiling is 0 dBTP at club loudness; for streaming, around −14 LUFS at −1 dBTP.
Does it work for liquid and jump up?
Yes. Pick Drum & Bass and adjust the character and loudness; liquid tracks usually want a warmer character and a lower target.
Will my sub pump?
You hear the master while you shape it. If the sub moves with the snare, lower the loudness or choose a softer character and compare again.
Is it free?
The full-length preview and the A/B are free. You pay one credit, from 2.99 EUR, only when you download.
